The function of the cross axis:

When the car turns, or when the drive wheels on both sides receive different resistance from the ground, through the action of the differential, the torque formed by the resistance is transmitted back to the side gear through the half shaft, forcing the planetary gear to rotate around the cross axis, forming the inner wheel speed.
